In a commendable effort to advance public health awareness, the Assam Rifles organized a World Cancer Day awareness lecture in the remote border village of Mimi, located in Kiphire District, Nagaland, on Friday.
The initiative was designed to educate both local residents and Assam Rifles personnel on key aspects of cancer prevention, early detection, and the significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The programme also underscored the Assam Rifles’ enduring commitment to the well-being of communities along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The event witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from villagers, particularly women and youth, who engaged meaningfully in the interactive session.
