A joint team of 32 Assam Rifles and police recovered large quantities of explosives at Kashiram Nepali Basti on March 19, PRO of Assam Rifles said in a statement.
In this connection, three persons were apprehended.
PRO said, acting on a tip off, the joint team launched a search operation and recovered 11.875 kgs explosives, 286 detonators and 265 mtrs of safety fuse wire.
The arrested persons were identified as H T Vela, Josnalhmathuoi Pangamte and Lalrochan Pangamte.
The arrested persons with the recoveries were handed over to West Police Station, PRO said.
