Assam Rifles Seizes Tiger Teeth, Explosives at Mizoram Border; One Arrested

The Assam Rifles have nabbed a man and recovered a cache of contraband, including three tiger canine teeth valued at ₹4.5 lakh, along with gunpowder and shotgun primers, near the Indo-Myanmar border in Mizoram.

Acting on intelligence, a Mobile Vehicle Check Post was set up on the Tuipang–Zawngling Road on June 21. On June 22, around 11:30 AM, K.T. Beirahu, a resident of Siaha, was intercepted. Following a search, the illicit items were found. Beirahu has been handed over to Tuipang Police Station for further investigation.
