In observance of “World Senior Citizens Day”, the Ao Senso Telongjem Chümoukedima (ASTC) in collaboration with the Chümoukedima Ao Baptist Arogo (CABA) organized a “Free Medical Camp” for senior citizens at the church premises on Thursday.
The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 220 elderly individuals availing medical consultations and treatment. The camp focused on key areas of concern among the elderly, including bone and joint ailments, eye care, dental issues and general health checkups. According to organizers, 70 patients received eye consultations, 54 were treated for bone and joint problems, 32 underwent dental checkups and 64 received general medical attention.
A dedicated team of medical professionals led the camp, comprising Dr. Asonla Aying Chang, Dr. Noktang Jamir, Dr. Esterlane Imchen, Dr. Imlikokla Longkumer, and Dr. Zavi Shuya. Their efforts were supported by a team of experienced nurses and assistants. All patients were provided free treatment and medicines.
ASTC and CABA expressed their gratitude to the doctors and medical staff for their selfless service and extended best wishes for their future endeavors.
