Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has extended support to the proposed agitation called by 14 Dimapur-based tribal hohos on the Foothill Road issue from April 15, 2026.
ASTD in a press statement , disclosed that it convened an emergency general meeting at Senden Riju to deliberate on concerns surrounding the Foothill Road construction. ASTD said that after detailed discussions, the general body unanimously resolved to support the decision of the 14 tribal hohos regarding the proposed course of agitation. ASTD also expressed solidarity with the collective stance of the tribal bodies and emphasised the importance of unity and coordinated action in addressing issues of public interest and regional development.
The house reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the aspirations of the people and ensuring that the Foothill Road project was pursued with transparency, accountability and in the larger interest of the Naga community. ASTD also called upon all stakeholders to remain united and extend cooperation in the larger interest of the people.
