Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has acknowledged the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on naming various important roads in Dimapur during the recently held DPDB meet.
In a press release, ASTD president Supu Jamir and Assistant general secretary Imtinochet also expressed appreciation to the district administration and the DPDB for the “right decision” on naming T. Matong Longkumer road from PWD-Forest junction to DC court junction. ASTD stated that besides social contribution of late T. Matong Longkumer towards the uplift of the citizens of Dimapur like construction of approach roads and ring wells, he was also the first and the last Naga Muzadaar during the British regime.
It was also his initiative of naming Duncan colony in Dimapur after the British administrator Duncan in his presence. Further, ASTD called upon the citizens to extend cooperation with the administration and the various departments in the process of bringing peace and development in Dimapur.
