Welcoming the state government’s clarification that no amount of money would be charged for citizens undergoing swab test for TrueNat COVID-19 test, the Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) Tuesday said it was a huge sigh of relief to the citizens of Nagaland.

ASTD said it was the duty of the responsible authority/department to adequately supply all necessary medical kits. The union has, therefore, appealed the authority to immediately take stock of the situation and address the problem faced by the frontline workers at the earliest.
With Dimapur under eight-day total lockdown, the ASTD through its has appealed all citizens of Dimapur town in particular to be aware of the situation and cooperate with the district administration and adhere to all COVID-19 protocols.
Meanwhile, ASTD has appreciated the Kohima police for timely arrest of five accused in connection with a robbery case at private courier service in Kohima. It has appealed to law enforcement agency to award befitting punishment to those responsible as per appropriate section of law.
