ASU clarifies on revised tuition fee structure

DIMAPUR: Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has issued an official clarification on the revised tuition fee structure for the 2026–2027 academic session across all areas under Angami jurisdiction.
According to the statement, the tuition fee structure for rural areas includes Class 10 and below- Rs. 700 per student (monthly fee) and home tuition- Rs.1,500.
For urban areas, the fee is Rs. 1,000 per student (monthly fee) and home tuition-Rs.3,000, with a minimum of five classes per week and at least one hour per class.
The Union further stated that the teacher student ratio for a single tuition batch must be maintained at 1:6.
Angami Students’ Union clarified that the revised fee structure is strictly applicable to both rural and urban areas under its jurisdiction, and has been deliberately adjusted to reflect transparency and the unique economic realities of the communities.
