Angami Students Union (ASU) education wing has lauded education department’s decision to discontinue the pursuance of pre-matric scholarships to the discretion of respective teachers. ASU thanked the district education officer (DEO) Kohima for the same and requested the concerned teachers to implement it in both letter and spirit. ASU further urged the department to make the fee nominal and not to exceed more than Rs 50/- in case if any fee collection arises.
