ASUS Shillong holds 57th annual freshers’ meet

The Angami Students’ Union Shillong (ASUS) celebrated its 57th Annual Freshers’ Meet on September 27 at Naga Community Hall, Nongrim Hills, Shillong, under the theme “Where Tradition Meets Awareness.”
The event brought together students, elders and well-wishers in a vibrant gathering to welcome new members and honour Angami cultural heritage.
Deputy Chairman of Kohima Municipal Council, Khrielievi Chüsi, graced the occasion as chief guest. In his address, Chüsi lauded ASUS for fostering unity, cultural preservation and academic excellence among Angami students in Shillong. He encouraged youth to embrace their roots while adapting to modern challenges, stating that tradition forms the foundation of identity.
Chüsi was accompanied by KMC councillors Kazheli Tungoe and Zenivono Nakhro. Earlier, ASUS president Thejangutuo Kerhuo delivered the presidential address.
