The Atoizu Town Council (ATC) organized an awareness programme on sanitation at DBs Hall, Atoizu, on February 13. A press release by ATC informed that chairperson ATC, Kitoli Naje, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the council’s commitment to cleanliness and environmental responsibility, while councilor ATC, Vinus Awomi, emphasized the importance of sanitation and hygiene in public health.
Short speeches were also delivered by ADC & Executive Officer ATC, Nukutulu S Venuh, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Atoizu, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, and deputy chairman ATC, Ivuka Z Katty, who all stressed on the need for active community participation in maintaining sanitation standards.
The release added that the event concluded with a benediction by Catechist, St. Peter’s Church, Atoizu, Helibo. Various stakeholders, including GBs, Church leaders, PHC staff, and representatives from STL, SUAT, and ARSU, attended the programme.
