ATI Kohima concludes trg for NCS, NSS officers

DIMAPUR

The Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima successfully conducted a three-day training programme on “Office Procedure & Management” for officer trainees of the Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) and Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS).
The training held from August 19 to 21, was facilitated by faculty from the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, New Delhi.
According to a DIPR report, a total of 27 officers – nine from NCS and 18 from NSS participated in the programme. Deputy Director of ISTM, Jitender Bhatti, was the resource person, delivering sessions aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and procedural clarity.
The concluding day featured an interactive session with the Director General of ATI, V. Shashank Shekhar.
Commending the trainees for their academic merit and successful selection through the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), the DG urged them to apply their knowledge and experience in service of the public.
He emphasized the importance of solution-oriented thinking in governance, stating that “listing problems is easy, but suggesting solutions is what truly matters.”
During the session, officer trainees presented several constructive suggestions, including the provision of crèche facilities for officers with children, strengthening grassroots administrative structures, improving coordination between administration and line departments and leveraging internet-based technologies to enhance transparency and efficiency.
The session was also attended by joint director Er. N. Moa Longkumer; deputy director Imlibenla Jamir; and joint director and course coordinator Kaholi Sema.
