ATMA Zunheboto Akuluto block conducted training-cum-demonstration at Lumithsami village on November 28.
A press released by Akuluto block, ATMA Zunheboto stated that BTM Jess T. Murry spoke on the topic “Jalkhund low cost rain water harvesting”. He highlighted the importance and efficient use of water for improving crop production through Jalkhund.
The resource person also demonstrated the steps involved in construction of the khund which included excavation of the khund, inclusion of inner wall, plastering of the wall, laying down of agri-film sheet and covering of khund with thatch. Altogether five groups of SHGs were benefitted from the programme. It may be noted that ATMA has been carrying our various trainings and demonstrations to make the farmers aware of the latest farming technologies.
