Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Chukitong block conducted training on field crops on May 20 at Chukitong town with SMS plant breeding KVK, Wokha Bendangla Imsong as resource person.
At the programme, resource person emphasized on the importance of groundnut cultivation and its package of practices, seeds village.
She encouraged the farmers to go for commercial cultivation and seed production.
Meanwhile, demonstration on propagation of techniques of horticulture crop was also conducted by SMS (horticulture) KVK, Wokha Megokhono Meyase wherein she explained in detail about the propagation techniques and its importance, advantages and disadvantages.
Later, practical demonstration on grafting, air layering and budding was also demonstrated
Altogether 34 farmers from 6 villages attended the programme. The programme was chaired by SMS (extension) KVK and BTT convener, Chukitong Block Mhalo Tungoe.
