DIMAPUR: ATMA Peren Ahthibung block carried out a demonstration programme on ‘ginger rhizome treatment with Trichoderma – a fungicide’ & ‘seed treatment with bio-fertilisers Azotobacter and Phosphatica’ at Ginger farm school, Lilen village on April 2.
At the training, resource person ATM Lireni Lotha gave a brief introduction on bio-fertilisers and Trichoderma; their uses, purpose, and benefits and also the procedures and precautions involved while using them. This was followed by demonstration on how to treat seeds with bio-fertilisers. A hands-on demonstration was carried out, where farmers actively took part.
