ATMA Dimapur, Dhansiripar block, conducted within district farmers training program on November 4 at Panchayat Hall, Bade village, for SHS’s under Sisterhood Network.
A press release from ATMA, Dimapur, stated that resource persons for the training programme were ATM, Florence and ATM, Sutsunginla, who spoke on the topics “Package and practices in Pea” and “Package and practices in Chickpea(Gram)”.
Detailed information about cultivation techniques of pea and chickpea right from land preparation till harvesting were imparted to the members. Furthermore, demonstration was also conducted for pea and gram, where preparation of soil, optimum depth of sowing the seed, recommended spacing and line sowing for uniform growth were displayed. A total of 23 SHG’s participated in the training program, which was followed by discussion and feedback session. Seeds of pea and gram were distributed to all participants.
