ATMA holds demo on ‘pest management’ and ‘Kisan Gosthi’

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) conducted various trainings and demonstrations across various blocks. ATMA Ghathashi block conducted training and demonstration at Khughutomi village on September 1, with ATM Kerilhoulie Rulu as the resource person.


A press release by ATMA Ghathashi block, stated that the training was held on the topic “integrated pests management”, with the objective to make farmers aware on principles and the different component of IPM.
The release added that demonstrations on the topic “demonstration on line sowing of okra” were carried out by resource person.


Altogether, eight SHGs and progressive farmers were benefitted from the programme, while seeds of okra, coriander, tomato and manures were distributed to progressive farmers.


ATMA Wokha, Wokha block organized program on “Kisan Gosthi”, training and demonstration on September 1 and 2, in convergence with KVK Wokha held at KVK Wokha and Englan village under Wokha Block.
At the training Assistant Technology Manager, Wokha block Elilo Kikon briefed the importance of Kisan Gosthi and highlighted the functions of ATMA activities under Wokha Block to the participants.


Resource person Dr. Mhalo ACTO(Extension) KVK Wokha, trained the participants on importance of growing nutritional kitchen garden. Hands on demonstration was conducted by Elilo Kikon ATM on preparation of nursery seed bed on winter vegetables, preparation of bio pesticides on ginger garlic extraction . Yanthungo Ngullie BTM Wokha demonstrated on A-Frame on contour line at Englan Village. All together 18 farmers participated the training program.
