ATMA Tening Block conducts demonstrations, trainings

DIMAPUR: Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Tening Block carried out a series of demonstrations and training programmes across villages from August 27 to 29, 2026.
On August 27, a demonstration on the scientific preparation and application of Bijamrita under Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) was conducted at Old Tesen village by Kewichamsi Kaurinta, Agricultural Technology Manager (ATM), Tening Block.
On August 28, another demonstration on the scientific preparation and application of vermicompost was held at Tening village by Tangit Longkumer, ATM, Tening Block.
A training programme on the scientific rearing and management of Mithun was also conducted by Namik, a progressive Mithun farmer under ATMA Tening Block. Following the training, participants visited a Mithun farm at Tening Namsan village.
On August 29, a capacity building programme on dishwashing liquid preparation was organised at Nkailwa village by Lily Tungoe, Block Technology Manager (BTM), Tening Block.
Through these initiatives, ATMA Tening Block continues to promote sustainable farming practices, skill development and livelihood enhancement among rural communities.
