ATMA Tuensang holds capacity building program for farmers

ATMA Tuensang, Noksen Block, organized a capacity-building, demonstration, and Kisan Gosthi program across Noksen, Longra, Yangpi, Sangdak, and Yonyu villages from May 14 to 20, 2025.
During the capacity-building session, resource person ATM Wetosangla trained participants on value addition of chili and ginger. The demonstration covered topics such as seed treatment in paddy, dehaulming in potato, use of yellow traps, organic pesticides, management of Fall Armyworm (FAW), application of micro-nutrients, and cultivation of sweet corn. The session was led by Ranger Lepden Lemtur, AFA Lopanghong, ATM Wetosangla, and BTM Suponglemla Chang. Additionally, a Kisan Gosthi program focused on paddy cultivation, where farmers engaged in discussions on various farming techniques.
The initiative benefitted progressive farmers from five villages, equipping them with valuable knowledge and practical techniques to enhance agricultural productivity.
