ATMA Phek, Weziho block conducted a training and demonstration program at Yisi and Shatuza villages on November 7.
A press release from ATMA Phek stated that, method demonstration on package and practices of oyster mushroom cultivation was given by Sanchibeni Humtsoe, BTM Weziho block. She further encouraged the participants to take up mushroom cultivation to meet their dietary requirements and also for additional income. Spawn of oyster mushroom and polybags were also distributed to the participants.
Training and demonstration on integrated pest management in winter crops was conducted by Nuzo, ATM Weziho block at Yisi village, where he highlighted the importance of careful evaluation of each pest infestation and understanding the life cycle of the pest, possible damage, natural enemies etc before implementing a control plan.
Two farmer groups from Yisi and Shatuza villages were mobilized and a brief introduction on the purpose and benefits of working together in groups was given by Sanchibeni Humtsoe, BTM Weziho block.
