Under the initiative of BTM Zunheboto block, Chubatsur Jamir and BTM Satakha block Livika K. Zhimomi, ATMA Zunheboto organized “within state farmers tour” for six selected farmers from Zunheboto block, Satakha block and Gathashi block to Kohima district from January 19 to 20.
The team visited kiwi farm school at Kigwema village and potato farm school at Kozama village, Jakhama block, lead by Vinenuo mere BTM (Jakhama block). During the tour, Viniesa, potato farm school teacher of Kozama village demonstrated about the methods of potato plantation, land preparation, timely plantation, application of fertilizer weeding, irrigation, inter-croping and also the advantages of potato farming that improved his life economically.
The purpose of the tour was to enable the farmers to gather more field experience and practices in different farming system among the local farmers.
