ATMA Zunheboto Block conducted a training, demonstration and capacity building programme on April 4 and 5 at Asukhomi and Hekiye villages. During the Capacity Building Program, resource person BTM Zunheboto Block Wapangtoshi Longkumer (BTM) provided a hands-on demonstration on oyster mushroom cultivation.
A training on Vermicomposting was also conducted, where resource person ATM, Zunheboto Block, Kanato highlighted its importance and explained the preparation process. A hands-on demonstration on package and cucumber cultivation practices was also conducted by BTM, Zunheboto Block,Wapangtoshi Longkumer emphasizing site selection, proper spacing, intercultural operations, and trellis making.
Meanwhile, a Capacity Building programme on value addition of stinky beans was conducted on April 5 at Hekiye Village by ATM, Zunheboto Block, Aloli. She highlighted the importance and demonstrated the step-by-step process of making stinky bean pickle for income generation.
Inputs like seeds, HDPE vermi beds, red wigglers, and pickling cans were distributed to the farmers. Altogether, 34 farmers attended the programme.
