Avail UNNATI scheme, boost growth: Hekani

A State level awareness workshop on ‘Uttar Poorna Transformative Industrialization Scheme’ (UNNATI-2024) was held at the directorate of Industries and Commerce on October 24.


Advisor for Industries and Commerce Hekani Jakhalu, who was the special guest, emphasized the importance of UNNATI scheme in driving progress in Nagaland.


Hekani urged entrepreneurs, business community, and stakeholders to seize this opportunity to foster development. She expressed her ambition to see Nagaland rise to the top three in the Northeastern states through the success of the scheme. She assured the business community that the government and the department are committed to providing full support.


In his opening remarks, director of Industries & Commerce P. Tokugha Sema, highlighted the importance of effective dissemination of government policies and collaboration with other departments to ensure the successful implementation of UNNATI scheme.


He encouraged stakeholders to engage with the initiative, emphasizing the opportunity for growth offered by the government. The workshop featured a detailed overview of UNNATI scheme by Fazlur Kabir Borah, a consultant from Grant Thornton Bharat LLP Consultancy, Guwahati.

Detail presentations were provided by Penethung Lotha, consultant PIU and Vimeyiel Richa, branch manager NEDFI, during an interactive session with line departments and stakeholders.

The program was chaired by T. Lemon Wangsha, joint director Industries & Commerce and vote of thanks by K. Francis Hekavi, joint director I&C department, a DIPR report stated.
