AVSU appeals for completion of GMS Shevishe building

Aghunato Village Students’ Union (AVSU) has appealed the concerned authority to complete the abandoned GMS Shevishe school building, which was sanctioned during 2010-13 and implemented by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), District Mission Authority Zunheboto (OMAZ).

AVSU in a press release through its media cell stated that, it had earlier submitted a representation in June on the issue to principal director, DoSE Kohima, but there has been no follow up by the concerned department.
Aghunato Village Students’ Union stated that the issue has surfaced again recently in the news and therefore, “the concerned department should come out clear with its intention, and to make it public as to whether it is in support of the culprits who are agents of corruption and already neck deep in it or whether the department has will to meet the demand of the ESSU and its federating units which is totally in fight against corruption.”
Aghunato Village Students’ Union also appealed to the concerned department to take befitting action against the culprits and complete the school building project at the earliest as demanded by the Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU). AVSU further stated that it shall not remain a mute spectator but would take all necessary steps to ensure that ESSU’s demand is fulfilled at the earliest.
