One-day awareness campaign on Pradhan Mantri Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) was conducted by the sub-divisional agriculture office (SDAO) Naginimora on October 9.
A press release from SDAO H. Lawrence stated that, Yanlem Phom, EAC Naginimora as a special guest, urged the farmers to avail the scheme and encouraged them to register under the programme. Lawrence, SDAO Naginimora, in his address explained the guidelines and features of the scheme.
Pongmei Konyak, CSC manager, Naginimora also spoke on the registration process for the scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for the entry group of 18-40 years.
It provides an assured monthly pension of Rs. 3000/month to all Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs) on attaining the age of 60 years with a monthly members contribution ranging from Rs.55-200 as per the age of entry.
70 farmers from Naginimora and surrounding villages attended the programme.
