Awareness campaign on PM SVANidhi conducted in Dimapur

In compliance to Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) direction, a one day awareness campaign on Prime Minister Street Vendors’ Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme was organised by State Bank of India, RBO in collaboration with District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), Dimapur and Dimapur Municipal council on August 25, at Regional Office Complex- SBI, Super Market, Dimapur.


The objective of the campaign was to raise awareness among street vendors about PMSVANidhi scheme’s benefits, mobilise new applications and promote adoption of digital transactions among street vendors.
At the camp, 49 new street vendors were registered out of which 37 applied for PM SVANidhi loan.


PMSVANidhi, is a fully funded scheme by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, a special micro- credit scheme launched in June, 2020, which provides working capital loan of upto Rs. 10,000 in one year tenure to help street vendors restart their business post Covid -19 lockdown and also promotes financial inclusion by offering credit at affordable interest rates.
