Awareness campaign on ‘Stop Spitting India’

NavSahyog Foundation, a Bangalore based NGO working in 20 villages under Dhansiripar Circle in collaboration with the Government Middle School Disagaphu observed an awareness campaign on “Stop Spitting India” on October 4.


The event was graced by Sare Jahan Se Acha Foundation’, Raja and Priti, who were registered and awarded by the India Book of Records on July 1, 2023 for having covered maximum kms on road to spread awareness about public health and hygiene.


The campaign witnessed the attendees taking oath to stop spitting and also to stop others from spitting in public places. Children also performed various activities such as singing the theme song of stop spitting India, drama and dance.


A short session was also held on menstrual health and hygiene awareness with the girls from 10 years and above under Priti’s project “Har Mahina Har Mahila”, supporting the usage of sustainable period products.
The awareness campaign was also attended by village chairman, GBs and council members. This was informed in a press release issued by Field Coordinator and Program Lead NavSahyog Foundation, Dimapur, Dete Therie.
