Awareness campaign on Women Empowerment

A 10-day Special Awareness Campaign under SANKALP: District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) – MISSION SHAKTI, was conducted across Chumoukedima district from September 2 to 12, 2025.
Organised by the Department of Social Welfare, the campaign reached out to diverse groups including women beneficiaries, students, local vendors, and community members. Each day focused on a distinct theme, covering critical areas such as legal rights, health and nutrition, gender sensitization, the POSH Act, POCSO Act, vocational skills, and promotion of girls and women in STEM fields.
The initiative aimed to foster awareness, build capacity, and encourage inclusive participation in shaping a more equitable society.
Through interactive sessions and outreach activities, the campaign reinforced the importance of safeguarding rights and promoting opportunities for women and children.
