DIMAPUR: Awareness-cum-health camp was organised by National Programme Non-Communicable Disease (NPNCD) and National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) Zunheboto on April 11 at 8th NAP B Company Zunheboto.
A press release by NCD Zunheboto informed that at the health camp, more than 42 police personnel were screened and treated by the medical team. A total of 30 police personnel were screened for oral cancer and smokerlyzer was used to check the level of carbon monoxide level in the lungs.
The medical team gave health talks on hypertension, diabetes mellitus, kidney health, my health my right, oral care, oral cancer etc., and provided free medicines and toothbrushes to the police personnel.
The medical team was led by of district programme officer (NCD), Dr. N.Mhonchan Kithan, senior dental surgeon District Hospital Zunheboto, Dr. Esther Ngullie, and staff of NCD, NOHP and CMO.
Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy Commandant (ADC) 8th NAP B Company, Pyobemo Lotha, thanked the medical team for organising the health camp.
