An awareness drive on environment crisis was held by ARC, Ahthibung in Saijang village on July 25.
During the programme, painting/ drawing/ poster were conducted.
Lectures were also given by resource persons, where the villagers were made aware about the new farming techniques which were eco-friendly. Emphasis was given on various kind of farming activities where livelihood for the farmers can be boosted.
Demerits on use of polythene in village area was highlighted, students were made to pledge to throw all wrappers in garbage point.
Village self-help Group members were taught on low cost farming i.e organic manure.
On conclusion, GB, Saijang gave away consolation prizes to all students for taking part in the paintings held on the event theme.
