Awareness on mosquito

Eco Club of the State Girls Sports Hostel, Dimapur on Sunday organized an awareness function in response to the call given by the Dimapur District Administration to create awareness about prevention of malaria.
In a press release Holshe Khrie-o, coach, Sepaktakraw said that the hour long activity consisted of discussion on the causes of malaria and the measures to prevent malaria, followed by cleaning of the hostel premises, draining out of stagnant water, killing of mosquitoes and display of posters on environment. The message for a clean environment was emphasized because it is seen that due to dirty environment mosquitoes are breeding rapidly in the locality and also asked all to go for “blood test immediately” whenever there was any sign of fever to avoid spreading of the parasite. The Eco club members of the State Girls Sports Hostel consists of players from Sepaktakraw game and athletics.
