Wokha district administration, DLCW-MSK and Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) organised an awareness programme on Pre Conceptions and Pre Natal Diagnostic Technique Act (PCPNDT) Act under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) for ASHAs and Anganwadi workers on January 22 at DC’s conference hall, Wokha.
According to DIPR report, advocate, Shanchobeni enlightened the gathering on PCPNDT Act, while EAC (p) Arhonbeni also delivered a short speech where she encouraged the participants to actively take part in such activities for the success of the programmes and policies. Earlier, the function was chaired by women welfare officer, Wokha, Dr. Wonchano. During the programme, safety kit consisting of hand wash, face mask and sanitary pads were distributed to ASHAs and Anganwadi workers.
