DIMAPUR: MSME Development & Facilitation Office (MSME DFO), Dimapur, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in association with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Kohima, organised a one day awareness workshop on Branding and Marketing under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at the DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima on September 11.
Delivering the keynote address, ADC Kohima, Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, highlighted the benefits of the scheme for local artisans and craftspeople, stating that it provides identity, certification, skill upgradation and toolkits to make traditional professions commercially viable. He appreciated the efforts of the Industries Department and MSME in promoting local artisans.
The programme, chaired by Functional Manager, DIC Kohima, Wekrope Akami, also witnessed the sanctioning and distribution of the first tranche of loans to beneficiaries. Jessy Jurry, Functional Manager, DIC Kohima, delivered the welcome address, stressing the importance of recognising and supporting traditional artisans.
Sessions included Product Packaging, Labelling and Designing by Loni Khing, executive secretary of WENN and co founder of Naga Bowl Bakery; AI Training and E commerce Onboarding by H. Yitule Krichena, State Programme Management Unit; Export Development and QR Code Generation by Ritu Pruna Prusty, Executive, India Post Payments Bank; Financial Literacy by Panii Eliakim, Lead District Manager, SBI Kohima; and Business Development by Sutsunglila Pongen, Financial Analyst, RAMP.
Meanwhile, a similar workshop was conducted at Town Council Hall, Mon on September 9, chaired by Anne, Project Associate, RAMP. EAC Mon Sardar, Shekhozo Vero, delivered the keynote address, sharing insights on business development.
Sessions included Product Packaging and Designing by Allen Konyak, founder of Ipseity & Bake&Co.; AI Training and E commerce Onboarding by Lohe Lokajiia Victoria, State Programme Management Unit; Export Development and QR Code Generation by Sumit Kumar, Executive, India Post Payments Bank; Financial Literacy by Shonpong Konyak, Field Officer, SBI Mon; and Business Development by Polem, Financial Analyst, RAMP.
The Mon workshop featured interactive activities on AI based product design, GST registration for digital market entry, export readiness, QR code rollout, and financial discipline. Participants were guided on setting SMART targets, pricing strategies and effective communication for sustainable business growth.
Both workshops aimed at equipping artisans with practical skills in branding, marketing, financial literacy and digital platforms to strengthen enterprises and expand market reach.
