Literary programme of GHSS Mon was held at council hall Mon on August 3.
According to DIPR report, CDPO Mon, T. Yanlem spoke on the awareness of Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan (RPA) as a part of Information, Education & Communication (IEC) and advocacy programme.
Yanlem said that the target of national nutrition mission is to bring down stunting among children in the age group 0-6 years from 38.4 percent to 25 percent by the year 2022.
Nutrition mission will address malnourishment through convergence and targeted approach for timely service delivery, he added.
He further mentioned that the targeted beneficiaries were the children in the age group of 0-6 years, pregnant and lactating women and adolescent girls.
The national nutrition mission is focussing to prevent and reduce under-nutrition and stunting in children and to reduce the prevalence of anaemia among young children, women and adolescent girls.
