DIMAPUR: Awareness programme on “Catch the Rain” under Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidar (JSJB) campaign was held at Bhandari town organised by the Bhandari town Council at summer house-cum-guest house on July 24, 2026.
According to DIPR, the programme was chaired by Likao Odyuo, deputy chairman, BTC and the welcome address was delivered by Khonthungia Odyuo, chairman BTC. During the programme the resource persons, EAC Bhandari, Kilangtemsu and Er, K. Hukato Shohe, SDO (PHED) Bhandari highlighted the importance of rain water harvesting, protection of water bodies, and efficient use of water resources.
“Why should we catch the rain and how to prevent water shortage by storing water during dry seasons” were discussed during the program. Participants were urged to contribute towards water conservation. The vote of thanks was proposed by Khosathung Tsapoe, Councillor BTC, Chanka Ward.
