Awareness prog on menstrual hygiene in Kiphire

As part of the 10-day special awareness campaign under SANKALP: Health, Empowerment & Wellness (HEW), and in line with the directive of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Kiphire, in collaboration with the District Administration, conducted an awareness session on menstrual hygiene at Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire, on September 5.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 250 students along with college faculty members. The session aimed to promote health education, break taboos surrounding menstruation, and encourage safe hygiene practices among young women. As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were also distributed to the attendees, reinforcing the campaign’s commitment to accessibility and dignity in menstrual health management.
