Wozhuro Block Task Force (WBTF), held an awareness program on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign, on January 23 at Phiro and Shaki villages under Wozhuro EAC.
According to DIPR, the program was conducted in continuation of the celebration of BBBP week. Under this program, parents who were blessed with baby girls during the period from November, 2018 to January, 2019 were felicitated.
EAC, Wozhuro, Arhomo Yanthan requested the people present to come forward and give their cooperation and support to the BBBP campaign.
In a similar program, the event was observed at Chukitong Area Baptist Mission School on January 24.
Two girls, Mhonbeni B Kikon and Arhoni Kikon, were felicitated, and chosen to be Block Level Local Champions.
A key note address was delivered by EAC Englan, Echungbemo Erui, and short speeches were delivered by president, Chukitong Town Lotha Eloe Hoho, Nzanbeni Kikon, and Anandi K Shitiri.
