AYO elects new team for 2026-29

Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure March 2026-March 2029 on Friday.
The new team will be headed by Petevituo Nakhro from (CYO) as the president, Neitolie Peseyie (WAYO) and Khrievolie Zhale (NAYO) as vice presidents, and Vipu Zashümo (SAYO) as general secretary.
This was announced during AYO’s general conference held at Sechü (Zubza) Council Hall on Friday.
During the programme Angami Public Organisation president, Thejao Vihienuo exhorted the gathering while short speeches were delivered by former AYO president and Chakhroma Public Organisation president, Zhato Kimho and former APO president Dr Vilhusa Seleyi.
Presidential address was delivered by Kesosul Christopher Ltu, while general secretary’s report was delivered by Neidilhoutuo Neibu Sechü.
Prayer for the new team was pronounced by Shalom Bible Seminary, Sechü (Zubza) principal, Rev Dr Sanyü Iralu while induction of the new team was done by nomination committee convenor and APO vice president, Vikehielie Victor Khawakhrie.
Earlier the conference was chaired by AYO finance secretary, Thepfukhrietuo Rüpreo while invocation was pronounced by CRC Sechü (Zubza) pastor, Duokie Rutsa while welcome address was delivered by Sechü (Zubza) Youth Organisation president Rokovida Kielienyü.
Special presentations were made by Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home and Mezoma Youth Organisation while AYO vice president Dievi Yano proposed the vote of thanks.
