Angami Youth Organisation (AYO), reaffirmed the 1993 resolution by the Angami Public Organisation advocating for “One Government, One Tax.”
While reaffirming the APO resolution, AYO president Kesosul Christopher Ltu and press secretary Thepfusavi Suohu, urged workers from various Naga political groups to refrain from harassment, taxation, and extortion targeting Angami business establishments and individuals within its jurisdiction.
AYO highlighted concerns about a likely increase in harassment and extortion during the festive season. The signatories called on the Ceasefire Monitoring Group and Supervisory Board to intensify efforts to ensure safety and security of business community and public.
AYO vowed that it will monitor activities closely and warned that defaulters would face strict action. It also appealed to law enforcement and Naga political groups to foster a harmonious environment, enabling a peaceful celebration of the festive season in the true spirit of Christianity.
