Azo Neinu denies meeting NPCC leaders

Chief whip of NPF (Kaito) Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu, has termed it as “totally false and fabricated” allegations made by the T.R. Zeliang camp, that he along with G.Kaito Aye had met with CLP leader Tokheho and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president S.I. Jamir to solicit support.
In a statement, Azo said the thought of meeting the Congress leaders did not arise, since they had clearly stated, that “they would maintain neutrality”.
He also described the statement as “ only a cheap political gimmick to win confidence of the Centre” but which was not forthcoming since the Centre was not easily won over “by such cooked up stories”. He also requested both leaders to “come out with the truth for the benefit of public”.
