Baby abandoned at District Hospital Dimapur

The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) has informed the general public that a general public that a female child was abandoned by the parents at the District Hospital Dimapur after the birth of the child on January 18, 2026.
A notice by district child protection officer Kughakali Achumi stated that the child is 2 months and 3 days, weighs 2 kgs, 47 cm tall, and has dark complexion.
The release further stated that the child is currently in the care and protection of Wondang -Ki Charitable Foundation, Specialized Adoption Agency, Niuland.
The district child protection officer further informed that any person calming to be the biological parent or legal guardian of the mentioned child is requested to appear before the office of the District Child Protection Unit/ Child Welfare Committee, Niuland within 60 days from the date of publication of this notice, along with the valid proof of identity and supporting documents.
