DIMAPUR: Business Association of Nagas (BAN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd. (AICIL) to expand insurance awareness and outreach in Nagaland, particularly within the agriculture and allied sectors.
The MoU was inked during BAN’s 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at E Space, which brought together members, stakeholders and representatives from various institutions to deliberate on key initiatives aimed at strengthening Naga entrepreneurship. BAN stated that the collaboration would play a vital role in enhancing risk mitigation mechanisms for farmers and agri entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to greater economic resilience, improved financial security and increased financial inclusion across the state.
Members also discussed agendas focused on promoting sustainable business growth, enhancing entrepreneurial opportunities and strengthening support systems for Naga entrepreneurs. The meeting featured presentations and interactions with representatives from government agencies and institutions, offering valuable insights into schemes and opportunities available to entrepreneurs.
BAN reaffirmed its commitment to creating an enabling ecosystem for Naga businesses through strategic partnerships, capacity building initiatives and advocacy efforts.
