Rajasthan Royals’ teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored a blistering 93 off 38 balls to lead his team’s chase of 221 against Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Opening with Yashasvi Jaiswal, he reached his fifty in 23 balls and became the first Indian batter in IPL history to hit 50 sixes in a single season.
With 574 runs at a strike rate of 236.3, he also became the youngest player to cross 500 runs in an IPL season, surpassing Rishabh Pant’s record. After his dismissal in the 14th over, Dhruv Jurel and Donovan Ferreira completed the chase, keeping RR in contention for the IPL 2026 playoffs.
