DIMAPUR, SEP 23 (NPN): Banking services across Nagaland are expected to be disrupted during a three-day nationwide bank strike scheduled from September 28-30, 2026.
In a notice issued ahead of the strike, the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), representing seven constituent organisations — AIBEA, AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBEF and INBOC — informed customers of the forthcoming strike.
The forum informed that bank managements were making efforts to provide skeleton services at branches and offices.
However, UFBU cautioned that this may not be possible in all cases, and customers could face inconvenience.
Therefore, customers have been advised to complete their banking transactions well before the strike begins.
They have also been requested to use ATMs for any emergency cash requirements during the strike period and to preferably avail themselves of online banking, YONO and other digital channels for routine transactions.
The State Level Bankers’ Committee Nagaland has expressed regret for the inconvenience the strike was likely to cause.
