B’desh High Comm calls on M’laya Speaker

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India, M. Riaz Hamidullah called on Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma on Thursday.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant High Commissioner and Head of Mission, Guwahati, Zikrul Hasan Fahad.
During the meeting, the Speaker presented Hamidullah with a coffee table book and traditional gifts of Meghalaya as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.
Also present on the occasion were Deputy Speaker Limison D. Sangma, Secretary of the Assembly Malthus S. Sangma, Adviser (Legislation) Dr. Andrew Simons, along with other officials of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
The interaction was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, underscoring the spirit of mutual respect and continued engagement between Bangladesh and the State of Meghalaya, the statement said.
