Rostrum of Naga United Village (NUV) constructed under MGNREGA 2016-17 was inaugurated at local ground by BDO, RD block Chumukedima, K. Yamao Konyak on September 7
Speaking on the inaugural function, K. Yamao Konyak appreciated the unity and co-operation among the villagers of Naga united village. He complimented that the department was proud of the village for its judicious and transparent utilisation of fund.
Konyak stated that any developmental activities but had to be a joint venture between department and public.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by K. L. Lokho, invocation pronounced by pastor, United Phom Baptist Church, Chingbam Phom, welcome address delivered by chairman, UNV, Kuthokhu Shijoh and brief account of the rostrum construction was given by VDB secretary, Zasitso Tsuzuh. Vote of thanks was pronounced by head GB, Sani Chakre. The SOs, BAPO, and technical assistant of BDO office Chumukedima, and village signatories from all walks of life attended the inaugural function. It must be noted that Naga united village under Chumukedima RD block is the only village which was on the other side of the Chathe River, cut off from the block office as a result of the collapse of the bridge this summer.
