Beekeeping capacity building concludes

The second phase of the capacity building and Skill Up-Gradation Training on beekeeping by Deutsche Gesellschaft Fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in collaboration with Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM), concluded on September 28 at NBHM Multi Utility Centre, 6th mile, Dimapur.  Trainees comprised of progressive beekeepers, interested individuals and entrepreneurs from Kohima, Dimapur, Peren, Mokokchung, Phek and Zunheboto. NBHM stated that the training aimed to sensitize and equip trainees with skills on scientific management of honey bees, sustainable honey harvesting techniques and marketing skills for honey and hive products, leading to enhanced honey production and increase in the beekeeper population. NBHM chairman Ntsemo Ngullie, expressed gratitude to GIZ for the support and sponsoring the two trainings.
