DIMAPUR: Akehda Amulung convened a coordination meeting with the Village Council and elders of Shishimi Village, Kiphire district, on September 19 regarding the upcoming inaugural programme of the Beekeeping Training Programme for Livelihood Promotion.
The training programme, funded by the North Eastern Council (NEC) and implemented by Akehda Amulung, Kiphire, is tentatively scheduled to be inaugurated on September 26 at Shishimi Village.
During the meeting, the Council chairman and Head GB of Shishimi Village expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that the programme would benefit the village and strengthen future partnerships.
Longtili C. Sangtam, founder of Akehda Amulung, said the programme aims to create additional income opportunities for villagers, adding that beekeeping can provide a sustainable source of livelihood. He further informed that the project will be monitored by Irothe T. Sangtam, CEO of Akehda Amulung, who will oversee its implementation and progress.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment from Akehda Amulung, the Village Council, and village elders to work together for the successful implementation of the programme and to promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for the people of Shishimi Village.
