The Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign under Shamator block was launched by T. Lankonsen Tsanglao, ADC Shamator, from Cultural Hall Shamator Town on February 27.
A press release from the ADC’s office stated that a key note address was delivered by T. Tinu Sangtam, CDPO Shamator. Others who spoke at the launching program included medical officer of the CMOs office Tuensang, SDEO Shamator, Zerusie Nyusou, SDO (Soil & WC Shamator) and Zuchimi Ovung, president, YWO and president YTC.
The launching program was presided over by Newkai PG teacher GHSS Shamator and the invocation was offered by Rev. R. Thsankiu, pastor STBC.
A vote of thanks was proposed by senior supervisor Aboto X. Sema. A special song was presented by Kihoto Theological College and a skit was performed by students of St. Xavier School Shamator.
