BFF student exchange programme concludes

Best Friends Forever (BFF) student exchange programme Nagaland-Maharashtra culminated after visits to Kohima and Dimapur. The students exchange programme was a unique initiative that helped students from two different and distant states to know each other’s history and culture.
According to a defence release, students were accorded a warm welcome at Headquarters 3 Corps, Rangapahar. They interacted with GOC 3 Corps Lt Gen Bipin Rawat and Mrs Madhulika Rawat, Regional President Army Wives’ Welfare Association, 3 Corps and other officer and ladies.
A New Year’s Party was also organized for the students at HQ 6 Sect Assam Rifles.
This marked an end eventful journey of the Student Exchange Programme, after which students from Pune (Maharashtra) bid farewell to their host students from Nagaland.
The release stated that students from Pune experienced the hospitality and warmth of Nagas as they were hosted at the homes of their fellow students for the duration of their stay in Nagaland.
The bonhomie fostered amongst the children was heart-warming, it stated, adding that such initiatives would go a long way in integrating people from diverse states and cultures of the country.
The release stated that it would be an endeavour of the Assam Rifles to organize more such student exchange programmes in the future.
